to the NHS Hospital Pharmacy Procurement Training site. This
site is a structured, interactive programme which will give
a comprehensive training in some of the underpinning knowledge
required for purchasing, storage, and distribution of medicines
for hospital patients. more > The course has been designed to meet the needs of pharmacists
and technicians. The modules can be accessed in any order
and can be completed at your own pace. The text will remain
available as a reference source and will be revised as practice
and technology changes and in response to participant's comments.
Each module includes exercises to reinforce learning and make
it fun! Completion of the course exam will qualify for a certificate.
The course is based on current training available. Accredition
will be applied for in due course. The course is FREE to NHS staff. Latest News We have had around 240 people registering for the
course which is excellent! Registration is required for administrative purposes and

The course was written by Andi Swain, Phil Aubrey and Kevan
Wind. This extended web-version was developed by Andy Alldred,
Roger Miles, Jane Page, David Samways and Kevan Wind.  
The site is sponsored by Bristol-Myers Squibb Pharmaceuticals
as part of is More than Medicines programme. In 2004 Bristol-Myers
Squibb launched a new customer focussed initiative in the
UK. The programme, called "More Than Medicines"
is about BMS providing value-added services to the NHS. BMS
is pleased to be able to support this site and training initiative.
 The NHS Pharmacy Procurement Training Course Web Site and
software called CourseGURU
was designed and developed by Tell
Ltd. Tell, developers and providers of online business solutions,
were specifically chosen for the project due to their experience
within this field including current and previous developments
for Bristol-Myers Squibb. Tell have been pro-active in the approach to planning and
in completing the development to produce a bespoke solution
to a unique specification.
